Disclaimer of Warranties
PolicifyAI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. This document sets out precisely what we do not warrant - and the warranties and consumer rights that remain in place regardless.
Last updated: 8 August 2026 · Operated by L. Bone trading as PolicifyAI · Registered in England & Wales
1.Scope of this disclaimer
This Disclaimer of Warranties expands on section 10 of our Terms of Service and applies to the whole of the PolicifyAI service (the "Service") - the web application, the policy generators, the scanners and audit tools, the consent management platform, the embed script, the API, the documentation, the policy library, the blog, and every document the Service produces.
It applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Where the law of your country does not permit a particular disclaimer, that disclaimer does not apply to you, and the rest of this document continues to apply.
2."As is" and "as available"
The Service is provided "as is", with all faults, and "as available", without warranty, representation, condition, or undertaking of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade.
You use the Service at your own risk, and you are responsible for determining whether it is suitable for your purposes before you rely on it.
3.Implied and statutory warranties disclaimed
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties and conditions, including without limitation any implied warranty or condition of:
- Merchantability or satisfactory quality.
- Fitness for a particular purpose.
- Reasonable care and skill, beyond what applicable law requires.
- Non-infringement of third-party rights.
- Accuracy, currency, reliability, or completeness of content.
- Compatibility with your systems, workflows, or other software.
- Uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free operation.
- That defects will be corrected.
No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from us or through the Service creates any warranty that is not expressly stated in these Terms.
4.No warranty as to legal outcomes
We specifically do not warrant, represent, or undertake that:
- Any generated document is legally sufficient, valid, binding, or enforceable in any jurisdiction.
- Any generated document complies with the law of any particular jurisdiction, industry regulation, or contractual obligation you are under.
- Any generated document is complete, or covers every processing activity, product, risk, or legal requirement relevant to your business.
- Using the Service will prevent, defend, or reduce the likelihood of regulatory investigation, enforcement action, fines, litigation, complaints, or disputes.
- Any scan, audit, score, or compliance rating produced by the Service is an accurate or complete assessment of your legal position. Those tools are heuristics that flag common issues; they are not a legal audit.
- Legislation referenced during generation is current, correctly interpreted, or correctly applied to your facts.
5.AI-specific disclaimers
The Service uses third-party large language models to draft documents. You acknowledge and accept the following characteristics of that technology:
- Output is probabilistic. Identical inputs may produce different documents on different occasions. Output is not deterministic and is not reproducible.
- Models can state things that are wrong. Generated text may contain factual errors, invented citations, misstatements of law, or references to legislation that has been amended or repealed.
- Training data has a cut-off. Models may be unaware of recent legal developments, and our references to legislation may lag behind changes in the law.
- Models can omit material points. The absence of a clause is not an indication that the clause is unnecessary for your business.
- Output depends entirely on your inputs. Incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading information about your business will produce a document that does not match your actual operations.
- Model behaviour can change. Our providers update, deprecate, and replace models. Output quality and style may change without notice.
We do not warrant the output of any third-party AI provider and are not responsible for errors, inaccuracies, or omissions originating with them.
6.No professional relationship
PolicifyAI is not a law firm and does not practise law. Nothing generated by the Service, published on our website, or communicated by our team constitutes legal advice, and none of it creates a solicitor–client, attorney–client, or equivalent professional relationship.
Our team are not acting as your lawyers, and no duty of care arises between us of the kind that would arise between a client and a qualified legal adviser. Communications with us are not privileged. If you need legal advice, instruct a solicitor, attorney, or other professional qualified in your jurisdiction. See our Disclaimer.
7.Availability, uptime, and data
We do not warrant that the Service will be available at any particular time or for any particular period. We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict all or part of the Service for maintenance, security, capacity, or operational reasons.
Except where a written service level agreement applies to your plan, no uptime figure, roadmap item, performance benchmark, or statement on our marketing pages is a warranty or a contractual commitment.
You are responsible for keeping your own copies of documents that matter to you. While we take backups as described in our security documentation, we do not warrant that data will never be lost or corrupted, and you should export and retain anything you would not want to lose.
8.Third-party content and integrations
The Service links to, embeds, and integrates with third-party websites, platforms, and services. We do not control them, we do not warrant their accuracy, availability, security, or lawfulness, and a link or integration is not an endorsement.
Where you connect a third-party service to PolicifyAI, your use of that service is governed by its own terms, and any warranty in respect of it is a matter between you and that provider.
9.Beta and experimental features
Features labelled alpha, beta, preview, experimental, or similar are provided for evaluation only. They may be incomplete, unstable, or withdrawn without notice, may behave unpredictably, and may lose data. They are excluded from any service level commitment and are provided with an even broader disclaimer than the rest of the Service.
10.What we do not disclaim
Nothing in this document excludes or limits:
- Liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- Terms implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and section 2 of the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982.
- Your statutory rights as a consumer, including those under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Our data protection obligations as a controller or processor, which are set out in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
- Any other liability or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
11.Consumers
11.1 Your statutory rights. If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described, and in relation to services not carried out with reasonable care and skill. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 those rights include repeat performance, a price reduction, or a repair or replacement, depending on the circumstances. Nothing in this document affects them.
11.2 Advice for consumers. For advice about your rights, contact your local Citizens Advice service or trading standards office in the UK, or the equivalent consumer protection body in your country.
11.3 Related documents. Read this together with our Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer.
