End User Licence Agreement (EULA)

Last updated: 7 July 2026  ·  Operated by L. Bone trading as PolicifyAI  ·  Registered in England & Wales

Technology provider notice. PolicifyAI is a self-service AI template engine, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice and the documents we generate are not a substitute for qualified legal counsel. By using the Service you acknowledge you are responsible for reviewing and validating any policy before publishing it.

1.Parties and acceptance

This End User Licence Agreement ("EULA") is a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "User") and L. Bone trading as PolicifyAI, a UK sole trader registered in England and Wales ("PolicifyAI", "we", "us", "our").

By accessing, downloading, or using the PolicifyAI platform (the "Service") — including the web application at policifyai.com, any associated APIs, the embed script, and any policy documents generated through the Service — you agree to be bound by this EULA.

This EULA is incorporated into and supplements our Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict between this EULA and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service govern unless this EULA expressly provides otherwise.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation or business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to this EULA, and that organisation agrees to be bound by it.

2.Grant of licence

Subject to your compliance with this EULA and our Terms of Service, PolicifyAI grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited licence to:

  • Access and use the PolicifyAI web application at policifyai.com solely for lawful business purposes.
  • Generate, store, download, and publish policy documents using the platform for your own business or for clients you are authorised to act on behalf of.
  • Use the PolicifyAI embed script on your own website or digital properties to serve policy documents generated through your account.
  • Access the PolicifyAI REST API to retrieve and manage your generated policies programmatically, subject to the API Terms of Service.

This licence does not include the right to sublicense, resell, redistribute, or transfer access to the Service or any content generated through it to any third party as a standalone product or service. The licence is limited to the scope expressly set out in this EULA and does not extend beyond the active term of your subscription or free account.

3.Age requirement (18+)

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. There are no exceptions to this requirement. By accessing or using PolicifyAI, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.

The Service is designed for business use and involves the creation of legally-relevant documents. It is not suitable for use by minors. If we become aware that a user is under 18 years of age, we will terminate their account immediately and delete their personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a business or organisation, you additionally confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have the legal authority to bind that organisation to this EULA.
  • The organisation is lawfully capable of entering into binding contracts in its jurisdiction.

4.Permitted use

Subject to the restrictions in section 5, you may use the Service to:

  • Generate policy documents — including privacy policies, terms of service, cookie policies, end user licence agreements, data processing agreements, anti-spam policies, refund policies, shipping policies, disclaimers, and other standard business legal documents for your own business or for clients you are engaged by as an authorised agent or agency.
  • Publish generated documents — download, copy, and publish the text of generated policy documents on your own website, application, or digital properties. You retain ownership of the text content of your generated documents (see section 6).
  • Embed policies — use the PolicifyAI embed script to display your published policies on your website via our CDN-served embed mechanism.
  • Manage and edit policies — access, edit, version, and manage the policies stored in your PolicifyAI account via the dashboard or API.
  • Agency use — if you are on an Agency plan, you may generate and manage policies for multiple client businesses, provided each client business relationship is genuine and you are authorised to act on their behalf.

5.Restrictions

You expressly agree that you will not, and will not allow others to:

5.1 Reverse engineering and extraction
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code, AI models, prompting systems, underlying logic, or any other proprietary component of the Service.
  • Attempt to reproduce, clone, or recreate the Service or any of its core features for commercial purposes.
  • Use output from the Service to train, fine-tune, or benchmark competing AI models.
5.2 Prohibited commercial activities
  • Resell access to the Service, including API access, to third parties as a standalone commercial offering.
  • Build or market a competing policy-generation product or service using our API, embed script, or generated output.
  • Use the Service to generate policies for businesses you do not represent or are not engaged by as an authorised agency.
5.3 Fraudulent and harmful use
  • Generate fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading policy documents — including policies that misrepresent how a business actually collects, uses, or shares personal data.
  • Use generated policies as a tool to facilitate or conceal illegal activities, including spam operations, data harvesting without consent, or consumer fraud.
  • Publish generated policies without reviewing them, if you have reason to believe they are inaccurate or inappropriate for your specific business practices.
5.4 Technical abuse
  • Share account credentials with any other individual or organisation.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or programs to scrape, extract, or harvest content from the platform at scale.
  • Circumvent rate limits, generation quotas, usage caps, or any technical access controls.
  • Use multiple accounts to accumulate generation credits or circumvent plan restrictions.
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or other malicious code into the Service or its infrastructure.

Violations of these restrictions may result in immediate account suspension without notice or refund, and may be referred to relevant authorities where the violation involves unlawful conduct.

6.Intellectual property

6.1 PolicifyAI's intellectual property

PolicifyAI retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the platform, including:

  • The web application, its design, user interface, and user experience
  • All underlying software, source code, and compilation
  • AI prompting systems, generation logic, and model orchestration
  • Branding, trademarks, logos, and marketing materials
  • All documentation and help content

Nothing in this EULA transfers any ownership rights in those assets to you. You receive only the limited licence expressly granted in section 2.

6.2 Your generated content

The text content of policy documents you generate using your own business inputs belongs to you once generated. You are free to publish, modify, distribute, and use that text content as you see fit, including on your own website, in your own products, or in client deliverables, subject to:

  • The restrictions set out in section 5 of this EULA.
  • Your ongoing obligation to review and ensure the accuracy of generated content before relying on it.
  • The intellectual property terms in our main Terms of Service.
6.3 Licence back to PolicifyAI

By using the Service, you grant PolicifyAI a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, process, and transmit your generation inputs and generated output solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This licence terminates upon account deletion.

8.AI-generated content

The Service uses large language models (LLMs) to generate policy document drafts. We integrate directly with OpenRouter, which routes each request to an underlying model provider — primarily Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini) — selected automatically based on language, availability, and our routing configuration. You should be aware of the following characteristics of AI-generated content:

  • Probabilistic output: AI models produce probabilistic outputs. Two generations with identical inputs may produce different results. The content may vary in completeness, accuracy, or appropriateness.
  • Knowledge limitations: AI models have training data cutoff dates and may not reflect legal developments, regulatory changes, or new supervisory authority guidance that occurred after their training cutoff.
  • Hallucination risk: AI models may sometimes include plausible-sounding but incorrect legal references, case law citations, regulatory thresholds, or other details. You should independently verify any specific legal claims in generated documents.
  • No training use:Anthropic's and OpenRouter's commercial API terms state that API inputs and outputs are not used to train their foundation models by default — see our Privacy Policy for details and links to each provider's current terms.

9.Data processing and privacy

By using the Service, you acknowledge that PolicifyAI will process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Key points relevant to this EULA:

  • Your account data and generated policies are stored in Supabase / AWS eu-west-2 (EU region), protected by Row-Level Security and AES-256 encryption at rest.
  • Your generation wizard inputs are transmitted to OpenRouter (US), which routes the request to an underlying model provider (primarily Anthropic or Google) to produce AI-generated drafts.
  • If you are a business customer using PolicifyAI as a data processor, you can request a countersigned Data Processing Agreement (DPA) by emailing [email protected].

See our Data Processing Agreement and sub-processors list for full detail.

10.Subscription and access

Access to the Service is conditional on having an active free account or paid subscription. The licence granted in section 2 is valid only for so long as your account remains in good standing. Specifically:

  • Free plan users retain access to the platform and their generated policies as long as the free plan is available and their account is not suspended or deleted.
  • Paid subscribers retain full access during the active subscription period. On cancellation, access reverts to the equivalent free plan at the end of the current billing period.
  • Agency and Enterprise subscribers retain access to all features included in their plan until their agreement expires or is terminated.

Generation limits, plan features, and pricing are set out in our Terms of Service and on our Pricing page.

11.Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11.1 Specific disclaimers
  • We do not warrant that generated policies will be legally sufficient, enforceable, or appropriate for your specific business circumstances or jurisdiction.
  • We do not warrant that the Service will be available continuously, error-free, or uninterrupted.
  • We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or up to date.
  • We are not liable for any regulatory investigation, fine, or enforcement action arising from a policy you publish.
11.2 Liability cap

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PolicifyAI's aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to this EULA or the Service is capped at the total fees you paid to PolicifyAI in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. If you are on the Free plan, liability is capped at £50.

11.3 Excluded damages

PolicifyAI shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, regulatory fines, or legal costs, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Statutory rights: Nothing in this section limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Your statutory rights as a consumer (if applicable) are not affected.

12.Termination

12.1 Termination by you

You may terminate this EULA and your use of the Service at any time by deleting your account from the Dashboard → Settings page. Upon deletion, your account data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12.2 Termination by PolicifyAI

PolicifyAI may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violations of this EULA, our Terms of Service, or applicable law. We will provide notice where reasonably practicable, except where immediate action is necessary (for example, in response to security incidents, fraud, or abuse). Grounds for termination include:

  • Breach of the restrictions set out in section 5.
  • Non-payment of subscription fees.
  • Use of the Service for unlawful purposes.
  • Conduct that poses a risk to the Service, other users, or the public.
12.3 Effect of termination and survival

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Downloaded or published policy documents remain yours, but you lose access to the platform and your stored policies.

The following provisions survive termination: section 6 (Intellectual Property), section 7 (Not Legal Advice), section 8 (AI-Generated Content), section 11 (Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability), and section 14 (Governing Law).

13.Changes to this EULA

We may update this EULA from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law, our platform, or our business practices. We will notify you of any material changes by:

  • Sending an email to the address on your account at least 30 days before changes take effect.
  • Displaying a notice within the Service at least 30 days before changes take effect.
  • Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this EULA.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date of a revised EULA constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not accept the revised EULA, you must stop using the Service before the effective date.

14.Governing law

This EULA is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this EULA shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer residing in an EU member state, in which case you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

If any provision of this EULA is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
