Compliance Scanner
The PolicifyAI Compliance Scanner crawls any publicly accessible website and produces a detailed compliance report — detecting trackers, missing policies, and cookie categorisation problems. It assigns an A–F compliance score based on GDPR, CCPA, and ePrivacy requirements.
Running a scan
Go to Dashboard → Scanner. Enter any public URL (including client websites) and click Scan. Scans typically complete in 15–45 seconds depending on site complexity.
Understanding the report
Compliance score (A–F)
The score summarises the site's overall compliance posture across the detected jurisdiction. A = fully compliant, F = critical issues found. The score is calculated from tracker presence, missing policies, and GDPR/CCPA opt-out availability.
Trackers detected
The scanner identifies 50+ tracker types. Detected trackers are listed with their category (analytics, advertising, functional, etc.) and whether they were observed firing before consent was given. Common trackers detected include:
Policy links
The scanner checks for Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Terms of Service links anywhere in the page DOM — including the footer. Missing or broken links are flagged as issues.
Cookie categorisation
All cookies set by the page are listed with their name, domain, expiry, and inferred category. Uncategorised cookies are highlighted as they may need disclosure in your Cookie Policy.
Common issues & fixes
Missing Privacy Policy
Generate one via Dashboard → Generate and add a link in your site footer.
Missing Cookie Policy
Generate a Cookie Policy and add a link in your site footer.
Broken policy link
Update the footer link to point to the correct URL.
Re-scanning
After fixing issues, re-scan the same URL to verify your score has improved. Each scan creates a new snapshot — you can compare scores over time. Scan results are stored in your dashboard for 90 days.
Exporting scan reports
Click Export report on any completed scan to download a PDF summary. Agency users can share this directly with clients as part of a compliance audit deliverable.
Scan limits
Free and paid personal plans include limited scans per month. Agency plans include unlimited scans — scan as many client sites as needed without any cap.
